Men of the Mission became a reality through the vision of the late Minister Alan Marshall.  Minister Marshall noticed that there was a woman’s ministry in the church and visualized having a men’s ministry too.  He offered the idea to Pastor James McGraw who agreed that a ministry should take place in our church. When the idea of a men’s ministry was presented to the men of the church, there was much excitement. The men rolled up their sleeves and assisted Minister Marshall in his vision. When the ministry first started, Sister Shari Franklin was their secretary and Reverend Leon Brunson was the Vice President of the ministry. The Men of the Mission has had many different leaders from Brother Lamar Fields, Deacon Eddie Martinez, to Brother Charles Thomas. Today, Reverend Leon Brunson has filled the shoes of Minister Marshall with Derek Williams as his Vice President. The Men of the Mission engages in many functions to help and uplift the men of the church. One of their biggest events is their annual Father’s Day brunch held the 3rd Saturday in June. The Men of the Mission also hold services and have become a great support system to all men who are members of our church. The Men of the Mission has continued to carry on the vision of the late Minister Alan Marshall.
